You have to juggle BM driver versions and Wirecast release versions that work well together, some combinations (i.e. When you say that the BM devices are fully compatible with Wirecast, that is not 100% true.
In a pinch I could hook a camera directly to Wirecast for a single camera shoot. I use this setup because I can send multiple streams, if (when) the Tricaster crashes I can safely reboot and still have the stream going, takes some of the load of the Tricaster. The release of the new Ultrastudio Express mentioned above keeps getting pushed back, when it comes out it should do the exact same thing for 1/2 the price, and I think be BUS powered, one less AC adaptor. The Ultrastudio 3D works great, gets hot, but has had 100% uptime. Basically exactly what you are looking for. I use the Tricaster 850, HD-SDI to the Ultrastudio 3D thunderbolt into a Macbook Pro 15" on Wirecast, typically push out 4 streams. This is now a champagne budget, but I know the SDI will carry full audio and video resolution to the BM box.īoth blackmagic boxes are fully compatible with the wirecast system, so I have no issue there. SDI from the "Program Out" to a Blackmagic Design UltraStudio 3D. This is clean and inexpensive, but does the hdmi output on the back of the 455 also carry an audio signal with it? Does the HDMI out also display full HD resolution?Ģ. HDMI output from the back of the 455 to a Blackmagic Design Intensity Extreme HDMI. I was thinking of two different scenarios:ġ.
The reason I would like to re-implement the use of wirecast is that I can run multiple streams to Livestream and the fact that procrasher, I mean procaster even when working, has horrible video and sound quality coming off their software.
I would like to get some input from all of you concerning sending program out to a MacBook Pro running Wirecast.
